PREP SOFTBALL
Game 1: Grass Lake over Vandercook Lake: 18-0
The Warriors headed to Vandercook Lake for a Cascade conference doubleheader and came away with two wins on the night. Blake Stark started on the mound for game one, Walker Mckibbin and Luke Guthrie also threw an inning. Together, they combined for a three inning perfect game with six strikeouts.
Guthroe led the way at the plate as well, going 3-3 with 3 rbis and 2 runs. Stark, Avin Sandoval, Jack Reid, and Max Schafran all collected two hits on the day.
Game 2: Grass Lake over Vandercook Lake: 15-0
Grass Lake combinds for a no hitter with Brayden Lape, Bryant Cook and Jacob Collins all pitching an inning each and throwing 8 strikeouts in three innings.
Brayden Lape had three hits to go along with his three K’s when he was on the mound. That led the Warriors offense also collecting three RBIs and two runs. Blake Stark, Luke Guthrie, Avin Sandoval and Collins also collected a hit on the day for Grass Lake.
The Warriors strive to get better today in preparation for the Flying Dutchmen of Manchester as they come to town on Wednesday, May 10th in the Hope at Bat Game to take the field and help strike out cancer!
PREP SOCCER
The Grass Lake Warriors defeated Bronson 5-0 on Monday night on the road. Ella Easterday led the way with 2 goals and an assist, Cassidy Ortbring scored another two, while Katie Million added one. Taylor Hoppe had two assists, and Emmy Gutowski recorded a shutout in goal.
PREP SOCCER
Michigan Center won 8-0 over Hanover Horton. Natalie Smith had an assist. Sophia Allen had a goal. Lydia Meyer had a goal and an assist. Cecelia Scaife had 3 goals and an assist. Julia Reynolds had 3 goals and an assist. Abbie Hess had 2 saves in the shutout.
