Grass Lake swept Parma Western Monday in a softball doubleheader, 3-1, 12-2.

In the first game, Grass Lake’s Laney Brown went seven innings, giving up four hits while striking out 13 of the 27 batters faced.

The Warriors tallied six hits against Western pitcher Hailey Whisman.Aspen Cook and Emily Brown singled, Olivia Turner and Bree Salts doubled, Rylee Fitzpatrick belted a big triple and Emily Guthrie scored the go-ahead run in the top of the fifth with a solo home run.

In game two, Grass Lake had 18 hits with every starter getting at least one hit. Katelyn Postuma got the win in the circle and had three hits. Turner had two singles, two doubles and four RBI.
