LANSING – Michigan Center junior Kamryn Shannon won the Division 4 individual state golf championship Saturday in Lansing, shooting back-to-back 37s for a career-low 74 to win the one-day event.

Shannon, profiled by the Half on Friday, said her goal was to break 80. She did much better than that, winning the state title by one stroke over Jacquelyn O’Neil of Harbor Springs.
