LANSING – Michigan Center junior Kamryn Shannon won the Division 4 individual state golf championship Saturday in Lansing, shooting back-to-back 37s for a career-low 74 to win the one-day event.

Shannon, profiled by the MHSAA.com/Second Half on Friday, said her goal was to break 80. She did much better than that, winning the state title by one stroke over Jacquelyn O’Neil of Harbor Springs.
