The Grass Lake Lady Warriors battled back and fourth the entire night to end up with a big win against Hanover Horton. Grass Lake gave up the first set (21-25) and then flipped the score around at the end of the second set winning (25-21). Grass Lake continued with the momentum and closed the third set with a close (26-24) win. Hanover pushed back and finished the third nail biting set with a (25-27) win over the Warriors. Grass Lake went into the fifth and final set knowing they had to come out stronger and more determined than Hanover. The team captured the win with a dominating (15-5) set. Senior, Amber Boomer led the team with nine kills and had 15 digs. Jasmine Carr followed with seven kills and five blocks. Emily Taylor also had seven kills. Abby Buttigieg, led the team in digs with 19. Kendall Shankland followed with 16 digs and Anna Konopka had 14 digs. Taylor Mosher was perfect at the service line going 18-for-18 with 12 service points. Overall great performance by the entire team. The team travels to Concord Thursday night for a tri. |
