MANCHESTER – Tyler Horky scored 28 points to become the all-time leading scorer in Manchester boys basketball history Thursday as the Dutch beat Addison, 59-49.
Horky came into the game needing seven points to break Tom Mann’s career scoring record and did that in first quarter.
Here’s a look at Manchester’s 1,000 Point career scorers:
- Tyler Horky – 1,068
- Tom Mann – 1,046
- Curt Fielder – 1,018
- Nick Krzyzaniak – 1,000
Manchester Coach Mike Ahrens said the Horky, an honorable mention All-State choice last year, continues to impress.
“Tyler is consistently pushing himself and teammates to improve every day,” Ahrens said of the National Honor Society student. “Tyler is learning how to test defenses and find a path for himself and teammates to score. He will welcome any challenge to improve his overall game. He demonstrates so much potential to accelerate at both ends of the court.”
