PREP CROSS COUNTRY

Addison vs. Hanover-Horton, at Horton: The Addison boys and girls both fell to Hanover-Horton Tuesday.

The Panther girls were led by Alexis Chapman, who finished in fifth-place while Brianna Laramore were in seventh and Maddison Dillon in eighth. Addison’s boys lost to the Comets, despite a third-place finish by Robbie Michalowski (18:57) and a fourth-place finish by Kenny Jarchow (19:06). Cameron Gramm, Isaac Hayes and Joe Cantu all set personal bests.

The Panthers will travel to Stockbridge for the Stockbridge Invitational Saturday.

Michigan Center vs. Vandercook Lake and East Jackson: The Michigan Center Cardinal Cross Country Team defeated Vandercook Lake 15-40 and defeated East Jackson 24-34.  Adam Derr was third-place, Alan Maier in fourth-place and Riley Withers in fifth-place in the meet.  MC is 3-1 on the season so far.

The Michigan Center Girls defeated Vandercook Lake 15-40 and East Jackson 15-40 to even their season record to 2-2.  Anna Reynolds was second overall and Jersey Franks was third overall in the meet.

Michigan Center is at Napoleon next Tuesday.

PREP VOLLEYBALL

Addison vs. Vandercook Lake: The Panthers won in five sets over the Jayhawks. Emily Knight led the Panther offense with 22 kills McKenna Corbin had 30 assists. Gina Hanson led the Addison defense with 11 blocks.

Addison is at the Morenci Invitational Saturday.

Michigan Center d. Napoleon 25-16, 25-19, 25-17

Grass Lake d. East Jackson

The Lady Warriors traveled to East Jackson for a conference match coming out on top after four sets (22-25,25-17,25-16,25-19). The Warriors had a slow start for the night but picked up the momentum throughout the night. Freshman, Abby Buttigieg dominated at the service line going 25-for-25 with 19 service points. Buttigieg had 11 digs as well. Anna Lockridge had 13 digs and 10 kills. Kendall Shankland was big at the service line also serving 15-for-16 with 11 service points. Andrea Kleine put up 20 assists and was 16-for-18 serving with 11 service points. The Warriors travel to Olivet Thursday night for a non-conference match.
